On the 6th, the Criminal Division 6 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Jo Sangwon) announced that they have arrested and indicted Lee, CEO of Star Mobility, which received investment from Lime, on charges including violation of the Attorney-at-Law Act.

According to the prosecution, Lee is accused of receiving 50 million won from Kim Bonghyun, chairman of Star Mobility, last July under the pretext of requesting a public official to cover up the Financial Supervisory Service's investigation into Lime (violation of the Attorney-at-Law Act).

He is also charged with embezzling 19.2 billion won of company funds in collusion with Chairman Kim and instructing company employees to hide related evidence during the prosecution's search and seizure in April.

Lee, a former president of Gwangju MBC, is known as the person who connected Chairman Kim to political circles. While working at Gwangju MBC, Lee introduced Chairman Kim to Democratic Party lawmaker A. Chairman Kim is suspected of giving high-end suits and tens of millions of won to lawmaker A.

Meanwhile, it is also known that Lee, while serving as CEO of Star Mobility last year, met with a senior Blue House official and ruling party lawmaker B to request assistance in managing the Lime incident.
