United Future Party Emergency Committee Launches 2040 Agenda TF... Including Former Participants from People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The United Future Party announced on the 6th that it approved the launch of the '2040 Agenda Task Force (TF) directly under the Emergency Response Committee Chairperson,' chaired by Emergency Response Committee member Jeong Won-seok, at the 13th Emergency Response Committee meeting.

The divisions consist of three in total: the ▲Global Content Division, which collects overseas advanced cases such as leadership and policy; the ▲Alternative Policy Content Division, responsible for SWOT analysis of major domestic policies; and the ▲Political Issue Content Division, which analyzes media trends and processes content.

The Global Division is led by Chairman Brian Ohk, a graduate of the Oxford University School of Public Policy, with overseas-trained talents participating as members to develop global content.

The Alternative Policy Content Division is chaired by attorney Jo Tae-jin, co-author of 'The Truth of Law Schools They Don't Talk About.' The Political Issue Division is chaired by Deputy Spokesperson Hwang Gyu-hwan, who will assess political judgment and consistency with the United Future Party, and columnist for Chosun Ilbo and author of 'Talking About Humans in the Hundred Schools of Thought,' Im Geon-soon, will serve as the issue planning executive member.

In particular, so-called progressive-leaning external confidential members will be appointed to significantly enhance the United Future Party's ability to preempt issues and respond effectively. Participants include members from the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy, progressive daily newspapers, and executives from information technology (IT) companies, expanding the policy spectrum.

Going forward, the TF will focus on a young planning and executive team specialized in producing differentiated content, discovering sensitive political and social issues, and proposing distinctive alternatives. It will also engage in developing online and offline community content channels.
