[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Daegu City announced on the 6th that it will hold a public interest activity 'Seed' contest for citizens from the 27th to August 2nd.

The 'Seed' project is a program that supports citizens who want to engage directly in activities to solve social problems by enabling them to carry out public interest activities. Anyone who is an individual or a group of two or more people intending to start public interest activities can apply.

The selected groups in this contest will carry out activities for three months from August 13th to November 3rd. They will also have various opportunities to share their activities, such as a signing ceremony, mid-term sharing session, and case sharing session.

Following the first half of the year, each 'Seed' participating team will receive 500,000 KRW (up to 42 teams), and 'Seed+' teams that participated in the 'Seed' project from 2016 to the first half of 2020 will receive 1,000,000 KRW per team (up to 12 teams). Those interested can apply through the Daegu City Citizen Public Interest Activity Support Center website from the 27th to August 2nd.
