[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 6th that it will implement the 1st '[You and My Connection Link Jeonse Rental Housing Licensed Real Estate Agent Education Certification System]' to expand housing search opportunities for tenants of Jeonse rental housing.
Jeonse rental housing is a lease-type public rental housing where the eligible tenant directly searches for a desired house and applies to SH Corporation, which then reviews the possibility of Jeonse, signs a Jeonse contract with the homeowner, and re-leases it to the tenant at an affordable price.
The 'You and My Connection Link' Jeonse Rental Housing Licensed Real Estate Agent Education Certification System is open to any licensed real estate agent operating in Seoul and includes education on ▲Overview of the Jeonse rental business ▲Conditions of eligible houses ▲Jeonse rental contract procedures ▲How to register properties on the Jeonse rental portal.
SH Corporation stated, "This education program is especially meaningful as it was selected as the top idea in the '2019 SH Corporation Customer Satisfaction Citizen Idea Contest' conducted for Seoul citizens," adding, "We expect it to alleviate the difficulties faced by citizens who, even after being selected as tenants, miss opportunities due to not finding eligible houses by strengthening cooperation with licensed real estate agents and activating property registration on the Jeonse rental portal."
This education certification system is open to any licensed real estate agent operating in Seoul, with the application period from July 6 to 10. The number of selected participants will be around 2 to 3 per autonomous district, and the final candidates will be announced on the 16th. SH Corporation plans to provide education completion certificates and education certification marks that can be displayed at offices to real estate offices that complete the training, and to establish a continuous cooperation system. Additionally, they plan to grant various incentives such as appreciation plaques and prize money (to 5 offices, total prize money of 5 million KRW) to licensed real estate agents with outstanding transaction performance.
