Gyeongnam Province Holds Kick-off Meeting for 'Gyeongnam Robot Industry Development Plan Study'

Expectations for a Concrete Roadmap Presentation for the Robot Industry Including Smart Factories

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 6th that it held a project commencement briefing session at the provincial government office with 20 participants including robot-related experts and related organizations to promote and develop the robot industry in Gyeongnam.

This project was initiated to establish specific promotion plans for the robot industry suitable for Gyeongnam's circumstances following the government's establishment of the '3rd Intelligent Robot Basic Plan' last September.

The main tasks include ▲ Gyeongnam robot industry promotion strategy aligned with government policies ▲ discovery of robot distribution tasks linked with smart factory and industrial complex policies ▲ localization strategy for robot parts ▲ activation plans for the robot industry linked with Robot Land, encompassing overall development strategies for the robot industry.

Kim Young-sam, Director of Industrial Innovation Bureau of Gyeongnam Province, said, "Through this project, we plan to build the foundation of Gyeongnam's robot industry and present a concrete roadmap including various support projects, robot company development, professional workforce training, and research and development."
