[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific (CEO Seokyung Bae) announced on the 6th that it has started recruiting participating organizations for the Beautiful Life project, which helps economically empower vulnerable women. Applications can be submitted only through the Community Chest of Korea's online distribution application system from today until the 24th.
Non-profit organizations and institutions with experience in projects addressing social issues related to vulnerable women such as multicultural women, single (parenting) mothers, and women with disabilities, or those with a professional operational foundation, are eligible to apply.
Applicants must submit a budget and project plan focusing on job development and vocational training programs tailored to the characteristics of vulnerable women, as well as integrated services for employment and entrepreneurship (such as care support and employment motivation). Selected organizations will receive up to 50 million KRW in funding from a total project budget of 300 million KRW after screening.
While most women’s economic empowerment projects primarily target highly educated women who need reemployment after career breaks, the Beautiful Life project is particularly meaningful as it provides improved working conditions and supports economic independence for vulnerable women who are severely marginalized in the labor market.
This year marks the inaugural year for strengthening the Beautiful Life project, focusing on increasing life satisfaction through programs that carefully consider the characteristics of vulnerable women. Additionally, a new logo has been developed to symbolize women with unique strengths coming together in society and fulfilling their roles.
