Operation of 'Hancom Malangmalang Happiness Care' Starting August 17
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Hancom With, a subsidiary of Hancom Group, has entered the senior care service business.
Hancom With announced on the 6th that starting August 17, it will operate the ICT technology-applied daycare center brand 'Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care' in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Jeju areas. Hancom With also plans to secure 3,000 daycare centers by 2023.
Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care offers programs using virtual reality (VR) for cognitive training and dementia prevention, as well as interactive artificial intelligence (AI) robots for seniors, and provides smart healthcare services that enable real-time 24-hour location tracking of the elderly.
Daycare centers are facilities for seniors aged 65 or older who qualify for long-term care grades 3 to 5 or cognitive support grades. Nurses and care workers provide programs to improve the physical, cognitive, and emotional functions of the elderly. Since the government supports 85% of the usage fees, the cost burden is low.
Since 2018, Hancom With has collaborated with specialists from major university medical institutions such as Seoul National University, Gachon University, Yonsei University, and Konkuk University to develop 'Hancom Mallangmallang VR' for cognitive training and dementia prevention, supplying it to dementia relief centers, senior welfare institutions, and rehabilitation centers nationwide.
Kim Hyun-soo, CEO of Hancom With, said, "Through Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care, which integrates Hancom Group's brand and advanced technology, we will raise the service level of domestic daycare centers to a new level and contribute to infrastructure expansion. In the long term, we plan to develop various senior care services through big data analysis related to this field."
