[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Dentis, a digital dentistry company based on implants, successfully completed a SPAC merger with Hana Financial No.9 SPAC and was listed on the KOSDAQ market on the 3rd.
With the completion of Dentis's SPAC merger schedule, the plan to launch new products in the second half of this year is expected to gain momentum. The company is currently preparing to release an ultra-precision 4K LCD 3D printer, denture materials, UV curing devices, and collagen.
Dentis plans to officially enter the market within this year by launching its digital clear aligner business. The global clear aligner market is projected to grow from 3.1 trillion KRW in 2016 to 8.8 trillion KRW by 2025. Dentis independently developed and launched ‘DICAON 4D,’ the first setup software for digital clear aligner business in Korea, laying the foundation for new business based on its proprietary technology.
By combining its independently developed dental 3D printer technology with implant technology, Dentis is also promoting the establishment of Korea’s only digital dentistry total platform that supports everything from diagnosis to implant manufacturing and treatment. In particular, all core digital dentistry technologies that make up the platform have been independently developed, and the company plans to provide perfect commercialization and services based on its own technology.
Based on these new businesses, Dentis is expected to record high growth in both domestic and overseas markets starting in the second half of the year. The company already exports dental implants, 3D printers, and medical surgical products to over 80 countries and plans to newly enter six countries including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Oman, Algeria, and Kazakhstan.
Sim Kibong, CEO of Dentis, said, “Despite the difficult market conditions due to COVID-19, we believe that successfully completing the listing through the SPAC merger has recognized the company’s potential,” and added, “Even after listing, we will aggressively invest in new businesses based on Dentis’s proprietary core technologies and various know-how to successfully promote the digital clear aligner business and the digital dentistry total platform business.”
