Saltlux, a leader in artificial intelligence technology, is setting a new standard in the chatbot market by introducing ‘TalkBot,’ a third-generation AI chatbot capable of deep knowledge-based conversations. Following the wave of K-POP, Saltlux is playing a pivotal role in the Korean Wave within the field of artificial intelligence.
Saltlux, which holds the most AI patents in Korea, developed the AI contact center for NH Nonghyup Bank, which has received high praise from overseas visitors on site. At CES 2020 in January, Saltlux attracted global attention by unveiling the digital human ‘TrumpAI.’ Additionally, its self-developed natural language processing and knowledge graph technologies have been exported to Japan, generating revenue sharing and remarkable achievements.
Unlike conventional chatbots that can only answer predetermined questions, Saltlux TalkBot (hereafter TalkBot) builds a knowledge base containing diverse information necessary for conversations and provides accurate answers tailored to user intent. The accuracy improves as the knowledge accumulates. In fact, NH Nonghyup Bank’s call center has continuously enhanced quality, raising the correct answer rate from around 80% to 93.1%, a figure officially certified by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) of Korea.
Moreover, TalkBot is the only chatbot in Korea to offer a ‘Group Bot’ function. The Group Bot feature allows individually developed chatbots to be grouped and used collectively. Customer inquiries received by the main chatbot are accurately routed to the appropriate individual chatbot based on the content, enabling integrated use or reuse of already developed chatbots. This prevents redundant chatbot development and provides users with easy accessibility. This is one of the reasons Saltlux is gaining attention in the government-wide civil complaint consultation 365 chatbot common platform project promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
TalkBot has established itself as a communication channel with customers across various sectors without limitation, including financial consultations in first-tier financial institutions such as Woori Bank and NH Nonghyup Bank, non-face-to-face chatbot consultations at the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, tourism information guidance in Daejeon City, recruitment consultations at Korea Electric Power Corporation, electronic bidding consultations at KEPCO KDN, as well as various internal administrative support services in private companies.
A Saltlux representative stated, “TalkBot is a chatbot service that only Saltlux can provide, with Asia’s largest knowledge base of 15 billion entries, a corpus of one million language units, and over 20,000 hours of voice data.” He added, “Rather than competing in low-cost, small-scale single chatbot development, we are focusing on high-complexity, high-value platform construction projects for customer groups in sectors such as finance that require handling multiple tasks with numerous chatbots.”
Meanwhile, Saltlux is preparing for its KOSDAQ listing this month, having become the first AI software company to receive ‘AA’ and ‘A’ ratings in technology evaluations.
