Leaked Images Featuring 'Mystic Bronze' Color Mixing Pink and Beige
China Radio Certification Images Also Released... Chipset Specs Improved Compared to Previous Model
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Product images of the Mystic Bronze color, presumed to be the official rendering of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G set to launch in August, have been revealed. During the process of obtaining radio certification in China, images of the black model also surfaced.
On the 2nd (local time), IT tipster Evan Blass announced that the Galaxy Z Flip 5G received radio certification in China and that its design and specifications were disclosed on the TENAA (China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) website. Evan Blass stated on Twitter, "I believe the leak was an unintended disclosure. Posts in public databases should not be specifically labeled as 'leaks.'"
Looking at the Galaxy Z Flip 5G images, the Mystic Bronze color version shares the same design as the LTE version of the Galaxy Z Flip. The exterior adopts a glass material with low gloss in the Mystic Bronze color, identical to the official images of the Galaxy Note20 revealed the previous day. While the copper color of the previous Galaxy Note9 was closer to brown, Mystic Bronze blends beige and pink, giving a softer impression. In addition to bronze, black and gray color options are also expected to be added.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The TENAA certification documents also indicate a 3.09GHz 8-core processor. Since this product will be released as a 5G model, it is anticipated that the processing speed will be improved and the specs upgraded. The LTE model was equipped with the Snapdragon 855+ chipset to avoid excessively high prices. As this model will be released as a 5G smartphone with the same form factor, it is interpreted as an effort to differentiate by enhancing the AP performance.
Other specifications such as the 12MP dual camera, 1.05-inch cover display, and volume and fingerprint recognition buttons on the right side remain the same as the previous model. Internal memory is 256GB, the battery is 3300mAh, and it supports 15W fast charging. Samsung Electronics will unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Fold2, and others at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5.
