According to Hana Financial Investment on the 3rd, JYP Entertainment's estimated sales for the second quarter are 33.9 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 8.9 billion KRW. Although these figures represent a 13% and 6% decrease respectively compared to the previous year, they are expected to meet consensus estimates.

Lee Ki-hoon, a researcher at Hana Financial Investment, stated, "Although this is an estimate, there is a phenomenon of donation group purchases within the industry, meaning album sales to China are rapidly increasing for almost all groups. JYP Entertainment shows a similar trend, with GOT7, TWICE, and Stray Kids, who made comebacks in the second quarter, all breaking their own album sales records, resulting in a quarterly sales volume of 1.24 million albums, the highest ever." He added, "Due to the sharp increase in album and digital music sales, which contribute significantly to profits, a fairly favorable performance is expected despite the absence of tours caused by the COVID-19 pandemic."

NiziU, expected to debut in the fall, is highly likely to become an unprecedented rookie group. NiziU is the final debut group from the recently concluded 'Nizi Project.' The researcher said, "NiziU's pre-release tracks ranked 1st to 4th on Line Music (with BLACKPINK at 6th), and their music video ranked 3rd in 24-hour YouTube views for debut songs including K-pop (9.5 million views), as well as 1st in Japan's top buzzwords for the first half of the year."

Hana Financial Investment has given JYP Entertainment a 'Buy' rating with a target price of 29,000 KRW. The closing price on the 2nd was 22,950 KRW.
