From Emerging Markets to Developed Countries... Launch of 'Mirae Asset Smart Global Bond Fund' for Selective Investment in High-Quality Bonds

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Mirae Asset Global Investments is launching a fund product that selectively invests in high-quality bonds from around the world for diversified investment.

On the 2nd, Mirae Asset Global Investments announced the launch of the "Mirae Asset Smart Global Bond Fund." This product has a parent-child structure investing in the "Mirae Asset Global Dynamic Fund," which actively allocates assets to bonds with an international credit rating of BB- or higher from South Korea, developed countries, and emerging markets, and the "Mirae Asset Global Dynamic Plus Fund," which pursues higher returns by lowering credit rating and investment limit restrictions compared to the former.

As of the end of last month, the average credit rating of bonds invested by each parent fund is A-, and they are diversified across more than 350 global bonds issued by issuers in over 70 countries. Each parent fund conducts currency hedging to reduce risks from exchange rate fluctuations.

Subscription to this fund is available through Kakao Pay Securities. Kakao Pay users can open an account online through a simple authentication process. Investments can be made from as little as 1,000 KRW based on an analysis of the investor's risk profile.

Im Myung-jae, Head of WM Marketing at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, "The Mirae Asset Smart Global Bond Fund is a product that simultaneously pursues profitability and stability through Mirae Asset's global asset allocation capabilities," adding, "It will provide an alternative for investors who want to invest in overseas bonds while minimizing risk."
