[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Yong-jun, Travel Specialist] The summer vacation season in July has begun. However, this year, due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), overseas travel routes are blocked, making it difficult to go on vacation or travel. Even if you go, the trend is to visit domestic untact (contactless) travel destinations where tourists are less crowded. If that is also difficult, you can consider a safe vacation trip enjoyed within the city. Lotte World Adventure has prepared various promotions to soothe the disappointment of not being able to travel. You can enjoy a photo zone that makes you feel like you are on a summer vacation abroad or domestically, a dazzling parade and performances that blow away the heat all at once. In particular, to ensure customers can enjoy safely amid COVID-19, a safe vacation theme park has been created with thorough quarantine and social distancing. Thermal imaging temperature checks, mask wearing, maintaining distance between attractions, disinfecting rides after boarding, and adjusting intervals between groups are prioritized for safety.

Since last week, the entire Lotte World has transformed into a space full of summer resort vibes. Among them, the main bridge street connecting the indoor Adventure to Magic Island stands out the most. The 'Tropical Road,' decorated with palm trees, features a surfing club and an open-air caf? adorned with stylish colors and neon lights, making visitors feel as if they are at a beach. Additionally, the 'Graffiti Wall,' created in collaboration with famous illustrator 'SAMBYPEN' (real name Kim Se-dong), offers a unique enjoyment.

SAMBYPEN, known for graphics and paintings parodying various characters, vividly depicted Loti and Lori enjoying a tropical beach vacation as a mural, completing a special graffiti wall unique to Lotte World.

Moreover, at night, the palm tree decoration lights on Tropical Road and the Magic Castle, Lotte World's iconic photo spot that changes colors over time, create a dreamy summer night atmosphere of a resort.

Existing popular photo zones have also been newly renovated. First, the self-photo studio 'Geureolsajin-gwan' located on the 4th floor of the indoor Adventure has been renewed for summer. Not only were the key props in the existing booths enhanced, but new booths reflecting the latest trend colors and summer and travel themes were added. Photo zones with concepts such as the underwater mermaid's room and tropical palm trees create a tropical and refreshing atmosphere.

Also, the 'Sejeolye School (The Most Beautiful School in the World),' newly opened last spring, will continue to operate. The classrooms, art rooms, and science rooms decorated in bright pastel colors like pink and mint have become a must-visit spot where every guest visiting Lotte World Adventure takes a commemorative photo.

The performances are also noteworthy. The representative summer performance, the 'Rio Samba Carnival Parade,' decorates the Adventure with dazzling samba costumes adorned with tens of thousands of feathers. This year, two new parade cars and samba costumes for characters including Loti and Lori were newly produced, allowing visitors to enjoy a more diverse performance compared to the previous year.

In addition, visitors can enjoy various attractions such as the midsummer night dance party 'Tropical Tour Parade,' the night multimedia show 'Let's Dream Night Parade,' and the largest projection mapping show in Korea, 'Miracle Night.'

Meanwhile, Lotte World Adventure is making every effort to ensure customers can use the facilities safely amid the COVID-19 situation by thoroughly implementing quarantine and disinfection activities. Temperature checks are conducted via thermal imaging cameras, and entry is only allowed with mask wearing. Wearing masks is mandatory when riding attractions. For each operation of an attraction, safety bars and handrails are disinfected before guiding customers to board. Popular attractions such as the Spanish Pirate Ship and Gyro Swing, as well as the central stage, Garden Stage, have reduced seating to about 50% to maintain distance between guests.

Attraction waiting lines, escalators, and elevators are also disinfected regularly. Additionally, all waiting lines are marked with 2-meter spacing tape, and staff guide visitors to maintain distance, striving to create a safe environment.

In line with the 'untact' trend caused by COVID-19, various discount benefits are offered to encourage the use of on-site unmanned ticket machines and online reservations. In particular, when purchasing a comprehensive pass at unmanned ticket machines, SKT users receive a 40% discount, and KT and LG U+ users receive up to 50% partnership discounts. When using L.pay, the comprehensive pass can be purchased for 32,000 KRW for adults only through unmanned ticket machines.

Additionally, from the 1st to the 19th, during the '2020 Special Travel Week' selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, all visitors to Lotte World Adventure can enter for 39,000 KRW for adults. Moreover, until August, with one 'COVID-19 Overcome National Tourism Voucher (50,000 KRW),' you can purchase two comprehensive passes (25,000 KRW per person), so don't miss out on various discount benefits. Detailed information about Lotte World Adventure's summer content and benefits can be found on the website or by contacting the main phone number.
