[Official Statement] "Endured Criticism While Being Watched" DAY6 Jae Reveals Discriminatory Treatment...Agency Says "Misunderstanding Resolved Through Conversation"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Day6 member Jae expressed dissatisfaction toward his agency JYP Entertainment, and the agency has issued an official statement.

On the 30th, a representative from JYP Entertainment told multiple media outlets, "The issues caused by misunderstandings between the company and the member have been resolved through conversation. We will be careful and make efforts to ensure that such incidents do not happen again."

Earlier that day, Jae posted on his Twitter, "Recently, there was a podcast, a Facebook fight, and a collaboration with 88rising, so why are the activities I do never posted?"

He continued, "I barely got permission to run my YouTube channel alone while enduring all kinds of criticism and being cautious, but after hearing that 'the company people are not viewing it favorably,' I shut down my personal YouTube channel 'jaesix,'" he revealed.

He then claimed discrimination by the agency, saying, "Why is it that other members can have managers create their schedules, help with content costs, and receive assistance from company staff to do things smoothly?"

Previously, Jae's personal YouTube channel 'jaesix' was launched in 2016 and operated separately from Day6's official YouTube channel. However, uploads stopped after the 'True Man' music video in April.

Meanwhile, Day6 was scheduled to begin activities after releasing their 6th mini-album, The Book of Us: The Demon, on the 11th of last month, but the agency stated, "Some members are experiencing psychological anxiety symptoms, so activities have been suspended."
