Housing Management Corporation Moves into New Headquarters Building in Gyeongnam Innovation City After 23 Years


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] The Gyeongnam Housing Management Corporation announced on the 30th that it has built and relocated its headquarters building in Jinju after 23 years since its establishment.


About 100 people, including Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo, Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il, LH President Byun Chang-heum, and internal staff of the corporation, attended the new headquarters relocation ceremony.


The new headquarters building of Housing Management Corporation Co., Ltd. was constructed with a project cost of 14.8 billion KRW from November 2018 to May of this year. It has a building area of 1,303㎡ and a total floor area of 4,863㎡, consisting of one basement floor and five above-ground floors, equipped with a customer support call center, offices, archives, a large conference room, a multipurpose auditorium, a book cafe, and employee lounges.


Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo said, “Since the corporation’s establishment in 1998, after moving through Seoul and Suwon, it has realized the 'dream of owning a home' in 23 years. I hope it will further strive to improve housing welfare for the common people.” He added, “As a public institution relocated to Gyeongnam Innovation City, I ask for more interest and cooperation in regional development, such as expanding local talent recruitment and revitalizing social contribution activities.”
