[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Jang Shin-young shed tears over the feelings of her eldest son, Jeong-an.
On the 29th, SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 - You Are My Destiny' (Same Bed, Different Dreams 2) aired a scene where Jang Shin-young had a conversation with her eldest son Jeong-an, who is going through puberty.
That day, Jang Shin-young said to Jeong-an, "Let me see your face," and started by saying, "These days, your voice is brightest when you are playing games."
Jeong-an replied, "That's the happiest moment of the day," and Jang Shin-young felt sorry as she recalled asking Jeong-an to be quiet during his gaming because she was putting Jeong-woo to sleep.
Jang Shin-young asked, "When Jeong-woo is sleeping, I ask you to be quiet. Does that upset you?" Jeong-an answered, "A little." Jang Shin-young expressed her apology, saying, "I'm sorry about that part too. Because of the baby, there are more and more things I tell you not to do. I'm sorry. Thank you for understanding."
Then, Jang Shin-young asked about Jeong-an's true feelings toward Kang Kyung-joon. She asked, "You used to call him 'uncle' before, but recently you stopped using that title. Is it uncomfortable?"
Jeong-an replied, "I can't do it. I'm scared," and Jang Shin-young wiped away tears, saying, "What are you scared of? It's awkward, right? Calling him 'uncle'."
In an interview, Jang Shin-young explained, "It hit me hard. At first, I thought he was saying he was scared of oppa (older brother). It's not that he's scared of uncle, but that the word 'uncle' itself is scary," adding, "I think he felt he had to call him that, but it just didn't come out. It's not easy for him either."
She continued, "My heart was complicated. I feel sorry for giving him homework and trials. Jeong-an has grown up without me realizing it. I felt proud and had many mixed emotions," showing tears.
Watching this, Kang Kyung-joon said, "I hadn't realized it. I hope the relationship between Jeong-an and me is comfortable," and added, "I don't want to put any pressure on him."
He also said, "Shin-young suddenly talks about these things when the kids are around," and "I tell her not to do that. I think he'll figure it out on his own later."
