Preparation of 10 Million Disposable Masks with Triple Filters
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Emart24 announced on the 30th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will sequentially begin selling droplet-blocking masks (KF-AD certified) and triple-filter disposable masks at stores nationwide.
The droplet masks being sold this time are the 'Wellkeeps (5 pieces · 3,000 KRW)' and 'Air Queen (2 pieces · 1,950 KRW)' products, with unit prices of 600 KRW and 975 KRW respectively.
In the first week, a total of 1 million droplet masks will be prepared and sold, including 300,000 Wellkeeps and 700,000 Air Queen masks, and the quantity will be expanded after monitoring sales trends.
Disposable masks using triple filters have also been prepared. For the entire next month, a buy-one-get-one-free (1+1) event will be held for two types of triple-filter disposable masks (white and black). By selling the 10-piece 6,000 KRW product as 1+1, the consumer price comes to about 300 KRW per mask. A total of 10 million masks will be sold throughout July, with 2 million masks (200,000 packs) sold weekly.
In particular, although the triple-filter disposable masks come in 10-piece packages, each mask is individually packaged, allowing for more hygienic use.
Baek Ji-ho, Executive Director in charge of MD at Emart24, said, “With the summer season approaching, consumer demand for easily wearable droplet-blocking and disposable masks is expected to continuously increase, so we are focusing on preparing quantities to meet customer demand as much as possible.”
