[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] The Ministry of Unification will hold a hearing on the 29th for the defector organizations that distributed leaflets to North Korea.
According to the Ministry of Unification on the 28th, the ministry will officially begin the procedure to revoke the nonprofit corporation establishment permit of the defector organizations that distributed leaflets to North Korea.
Among the organizations designated for the hearing, 'Free North Korea Movement Alliance' and 'Keun Saem,' Park Jung-oh, the representative of Keun Saem, who received prior notice first, is scheduled to attend the hearing and provide explanations.
On the 15th, the Ministry of Unification explained the reason for revoking the nonprofit corporation establishment permit, stating, "Keun Saem sent PET bottles containing rice, portable storage devices (USB), and Bibles to North Korea eight times this year, including on the 23rd of last month," and "They conducted activities beyond the original purpose of the corporation's establishment."
Keun Saem plans to file an administrative lawsuit requesting a provisional suspension of effectiveness and cancellation of the disposition if the government revokes the nonprofit corporation establishment permit through the hearing.
