A 'Health Insurance Branch Office' Has Also Opened in Sancheong, Gyeongnam

The Health Insurance Corporation Sancheong Branch Office was completed, and a completion ceremony was held on the 25th, marking the official start of its operations.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Sancheong branch office building of the National Health Insurance Service has been completed, easing the health insurance operations in the western Gyeongnam region.

The Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service held a completion ceremony for the Sancheong branch office building of the Jinju Sancheong branch on the afternoon of June 24.

The completion ceremony was attended by various dignitaries including Min Yang-geun, Director of Welfare and Civil Complaints Bureau of Sancheong County, Kim Su-hwan, member of the County Council, Jang Tae-bun, Superintendent of the Education Support Office, Lee Taek-hwan, Chairman of the Sancheong County branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association, Kim Sang-wook, Chief of Sancheong Fire Station, Kim Jin-hwan, Mayor of Sancheong-eup, Cha Ki-seok, Director of Health Promotion at Sancheong Health Medical Center, and Jang Jae-ho, President of the Sancheong Korean Medicine Association, who all applauded the event.

The ceremony proceeded in the order of a pre-ceremony performance, national ceremony, progress report, welcome speech, congratulatory speeches, presentation of appreciation plaques, and tape cutting. To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all attendees wore masks and followed preventive measures such as hand sanitization.

The newly constructed Sancheong branch office building is located at 737 Jiri, Sancheong-eup, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province. It is a two-story building with a total area of 1,620 m² and a gross floor area of 676.8 m². Construction began after receiving building permission in August 2019 and was completed after about seven months of construction.

Oh Dong-seok, Head of the Busan Gyeongnam Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service, said, “We thank Sancheong County and the Sancheong County Council as well as the citizens of Sancheong County,” adding, “With the help of many people, the Sancheong branch office has taken on a splendid new appearance, bringing us closer to improving the health and quality of life of local residents.”
