[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Mirrorroid Korea, a smart mirror specialist company, uses augmented reality (AR) to virtually change hair dye and hairstyles. Through these smart services, satisfaction can be increased not only for customers but also for hair salons.
Rorogem, a company that provides virtual try-on software for fashion items such as jewelry, is also enhancing customer satisfaction by utilizing AR and machine learning (ML) technologies.
By using these technologies, predetermined products can be virtually worn with quality similar to the real thing. Additionally, when consumers select the accessory after trying it on, they can be connected to the product homepage online without visiting the store, enabling online purchases.
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business will hold a smart service on-site experience exhibition at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, from the 22nd to the 24th. This exhibition is organized to promote creativity and an innovative mindset among small and medium enterprises. Under the theme "Changing Daily Life in the Untact Era," smart service products utilizing AR and other technologies will be displayed.
Jung Wookjo, Head of the Innovation Growth Division at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, said, "As our daily lives change and the social and economic order shifts due to COVID-19, we prepared this on-site experience with the intention that our small and medium enterprises must also change according to the times. We will work together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to promote smart factory support projects and smart service support projects to create a smart Korea."
