MyRealTrip "Enjoy Online Overseas Travel for the Price of a Cup of Coffee"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] MyRealTrip, a travel tech company operating a travel product brokerage platform (CEO Lee Dong-gun), announced that it will newly launch the 'Real Online Tour,' where veteran guides from around the world directly introduce travel destinations and share experiences in real time, for the first time in Korea.
The 'Real Online Tour' introduced by MyRealTrip is not a VOD that unilaterally transmits pre-recorded and edited videos, but a service that allows indirect participation in travel through real-time two-way communication with veteran guides. While Airbnb offers online travel experience services overseas, MyRealTrip is the only provider in Korea.
The 'Real Online Tour' is conducted via a video conferencing app for 90 minutes, with participation ranging from 5 to 15 people depending on the product. Through local videos and photos owned by the travel guides, participants can learn about travel destinations and enjoy indirect travel experiences mainly based on actual experiences.
The guides are top veterans in their respective fields, with numerous TV appearances, and have various professions such as novelists, painters, and musical actors. Additionally, professional video producers participate in composing and editing the program, providing viewers with entertainment elements similar to TV variety shows along with high immersion.
The 'Real Online Tour' consists of tours such as Mont Saint-Michel Tour, London National Gallery Tour, Southern Italy Tour, and Spain Prado Museum Tour. The program plans to sequentially expand to countries such as Scotland, the United States, and Asia, and introduce distinctive experiential classes like drawing and Belgian beer, continuously preparing diverse regional expansion content.
MyRealTrip invested last year in 'GuideLive,' a startup specializing in travel product planning, and is launching the 'Real Online Tour' together this time. Lee Dong-gun, CEO of MyRealTrip, said, "We prepared this hoping to help people indirectly experience overseas travel, which has become difficult due to COVID-19, through online means and to assist in planning future trips," adding, "We will strive to secure content so that people can enjoy overseas travel and heal at the price of a cup of coffee."
