[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases linked to a multi-level marketing door-to-door sales facility in Daejeon has increased by two.
According to Daejeon City and Chungnam Province as of 10 a.m. on the 19th, A (female in her 60s, #68), residing in Jijok-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and B (62, female, Chungnam #157), residing in Gongju City, Chungnam, tested positive for COVID-19.
A is believed to have come into contact with a confirmed Daejeon case (#57) on the 14th at the Gyeryongsan Oncheon Jjimjilbang located in Gongju City, Chungnam. Although A initially tested negative on the 16th when first tested for COVID-19, she later tested positive after developing symptoms during self-quarantine and undergoing a retest.
Earlier, the city conducted comprehensive testing on 23 Daejeon residents linked to the Gyeryongsan Oncheon Jjimjilbang, as notified by Gongju City, all of whom tested negative.
B was also confirmed to have come into contact with the Daejeon confirmed case (#57) at the Gyeryongsan Oncheon Jjimjilbang on the same day and time as A. B was classified as a contact during Chungnam Province’s epidemiological investigation on the 17th, tested, and subsequently confirmed positive during self-quarantine.
The province plans to conduct COVID-19 testing on B’s spouse as well.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases linked to the multi-level marketing door-to-door sales facility in Daejeon has risen to 27, including A and B.
