[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Able C&C's cosmetics brand Missha announced on the 19th that it has launched the ‘Gaeddongssuk Feminine Cleanser’.
The new product is a feminine cleanser that combines Gaeddongssuk extract with probiotics, helping to maintain the pH balance of women's skin with its mildly acidic formula. The gel-type cleanser containing Gaeddongssuk extract refreshingly and moisturizes while cleansing impurities.
It has completed antimicrobial tests against three major bacteria and skin irritation tests at a global medical research center. Test results demonstrated excellent antibacterial effects, reducing E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida.
The Gaeddongssuk extract used in the new product is derived from Gaeddongssuk harvested every September in Ganghwado. It undergoes two fermentation processes?warm and cold?in jars made using traditional methods, and the active ingredients are extracted using a low-temperature high-pressure extraction method.
Lee Junsung, Executive Director of Marketing at Able C&C, said, “Gaeddongssuk extract is well known for its skin-soothing properties,” adding, “We expect this new product, reflecting customers' needs for feminine cleansers, to receive a positive response.”
The Gaeddongssuk Feminine Cleanser comes in a 210ml size and is priced at 24,000 KRW. To commemorate the launch, the company is selling a special set including one main product and a refill of the same volume at the same price.
