Imsil-gun Supports Social Insurance Premiums for Small Business Owners

Imsil-gun Supports Social Insurance Premiums for Small Business Owners

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is recruiting beneficiaries for the social insurance premium support project to assist small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn caused by the spread of COVID-19.

This project supports the employer's share of social insurance premiums for 10 months, excluding government subsidies, for workers at workplaces covered by the government's Durunuri social insurance support program, aiming to alleviate the management burden on small business owners.

The social insurance support requirements include employment insurance enrollment with a monthly salary between the minimum wage and 2.15 million KRW, and employment maintained for more than one month before application for regular, temporary, or daily workers.

However, businesses receiving other social insurance premium support such as social enterprises, national/public daycare centers, or those under resident representative meetings, management offices, or listed for wage arrears disclosure are restricted from applying.

In addition to social insurance premiums, the county has invested 600 million KRW in public utility support projects and card fee support projects to help small business owners overcome management crises.

Sim Min, the mayor of Imsil-gun, stated, “We hope this will help alleviate the management burden of small business owners who are experiencing many difficulties in business due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and decreased customers.”
