On the 16th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent A (36) to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.
A, who tested positive on April 2, is accused of making false statements during the health authorities' epidemiological investigation by hiding the fact that she worked at a nightlife bar from the evening of March 27 until 4 a.m. the next day, claiming instead that she stayed at home.
A police official stated, "She violated the obligation to actively disclose her movements during the epidemiological investigation and omitted some details, leading to her referral to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment."
