[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan Gijang-gun will hold the 'Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy,' which was temporarily postponed due to COVID-19, as an online lecture.
The Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy is a humanities program that has been ongoing since 2015, inviting prominent figures in the humanities and liberal arts fields to give lectures, aiming to improve the quality of life for residents and promote the creation of a humanities city.
Gijang-gun will release online lectures on the 22nd and 29th, which anyone can watch on the YouTube channel 'Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy' or the Gijang-gun Lifelong Education Center website.
The lecture released on the 22nd will be given by Professor Lee Soo-jung of Kyonggi University’s Department of Criminal Psychology, who has appeared on several TV programs including SBS's 'Unanswered Questions.' She will lecture on the topic 'Recent Status of Juvenile Delinquency and How to Protect My Child Well,' and the lecture will be available for three months until September 21.
The lecture on the 29th will be delivered by Seon Dae-in, director of the Seon Dae-in Economic Research Institute, on the topic 'Where Are the Opportunities of the Future,' and it will be available for one year until June 28, 2021.
A Gijang-gun official said, “The online lectures this time are non-face-to-face programs that can be taken via PC or smartphone, and we hope they will comfort residents exhausted by COVID-19 and help revive the stagnant lifelong learning atmosphere.”
