Decades-Old 'Baeknyeon Gage' Now Featured on Naver Maps


[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Stores that have maintained their presence for over 30 years can now be easily searched on Naver.


On the 11th, Naver announced that it will provide easy access to nationwide 'Baeknyeon Gage' certified by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups through Naver Search and Naver Maps.


'Baeknyeon Gage' refers to stores that have maintained their presence for over 30 years and have consistently received steady love from customers, evaluated highly for excellence and growth potential. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups selects these stores by comprehensively evaluating factors such as the owner's willingness to innovate and the distinctiveness of products and services among stores over 30 years old, such as Gubaek Sikdang in Yeosu, Jeonnam, and Ilmi Haejangguk in Okcheon, Chungbuk. It supports them with expert consulting, innovation capability enhancement training, preferential guarantees and funding, and promotion.


The usage is simple. By searching the keyword 'Baeknyeon Gage' on Naver Search or Maps, users can view diverse and accurate store information linked with Naver Place at a glance.


If you have visited or plan to visit a specific area, you can also search in the form of 'region name + Baeknyeon Gage.' Naver and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plan to additionally reflect updated 'Baeknyeon Gage' information in the future.


Naver and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated that with about 400 Baeknyeon Gage locations provided through Naver Search and Maps, users are expected to show more interest in these stores and access them more easily.


From the perspective of small business owners and merchants, it is expected that they will be able to promote their stores through the Naver platform, which is visited by more than 30 million people daily, thereby securing more contact points with customers.


Park Young-sun, Minister of SMEs and Startups, said, "Baeknyeon Gage is a system for everyone, providing pride and innovation momentum to business owners and high-quality services to customers," adding, "Naver understood this purpose well, enabling this service to be launched, and we will cooperate to help more Baeknyeon Gage emerge."


Han Seong-sook, CEO of Naver, said, "Through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Baeknyeon Gage information, we expect to provide small business owners with more opportunities to connect with customers and deliver more valuable information to users," adding, "We will continue to strive to become a platform that better connects users and small business owners."
