[Golf Topic] Ko Jin-young and Yoo So-yeon "Pride Clash at Korean Women's Open"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…World No. 1 Ko Jin-young (25) and former No. 1 Yoo So-yeon (30ㆍMediheal) will clash at the Korea Women's Open.

The tournament organizing committee announced on the 9th, "Both players will participate in the Kia Motors 34th Korea Women's Open (total prize money 1 billion KRW)." The 'national title' event will be held over four days starting from the 18th at Bears Best Cheongna Golf Club in Incheon. Ko Jin-young will make her second appearance following the recently concluded KLPGA Tour Lotte Cantata Women's Open on the 7th. She is skipping this week's S-Oil Championship to aim for a major victory. Yoo So-yeon will make her first domestic appearance this year.

Along with 'Lotte Cantata Women's Open champion' Kim Hyo-joo (25ㆍLotte), overseas players including Kim Se-young (27ㆍMirae Asset), Lee Jeong-eun 6 (24ㆍDaebang Construction), Ji Eun-hee (34ㆍHanwha Q CELLS), Lee Bo-mi (32), Lee Min-young (28ㆍHanwha Q CELLS), Bae Seon-woo (26), 2007 champion Ahn Sun-ju (33), and 2012 champion Lee Mi-rim (30ㆍNH Investment & Securities) will all participate. Defending champion Lee Da-yeon (23ㆍMediheal), Choi Hye-jin (21), Lee So-young (23ㆍboth Lotte), Park Hyun-kyung (20ㆍKorea Land & Trust), and Lim Hee-jung (20ㆍHanwha Q CELLS) will compete to defend their home turf.
