[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Zigbang announced on the 9th that it has signed an industry-academia exchange agreement with Myongji University to cultivate specialized personnel in the proptech (property + technology) field.


The signing ceremony took place at the Mirae Hall on the Humanities Campus of Myongji University, located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, with attendees including Choi Kyung-guk, Dean of the College of Future Convergence at Myongji University, and Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang, along with other representatives from both institutions.


Through this business agreement, Zigbang and Myongji University have agreed to jointly foster experts with the goal of advancing the proptech industry.


Based on the agreement, they will mutually cooperate to establish a joint response system for talent cultivation, conduct research in the proptech field, and jointly develop educational programs. Additionally, they plan to promote various industry-academia collaboration activities to advance the proptech industry, including providing education and lecture opportunities to Myongji University students interested in proptech.


Proptech is a compound word of Property and Technology, referring to the real estate service industry that combines cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) in the real estate sector. With the spread of untact culture due to the novel coronavirus infection, the proptech service sector in real estate has been gaining attention.


Ahn Sung-woo, CEO of Zigbang, stated, “It is very meaningful to sign this business agreement with Myongji University, which has taken the lead in developing job-centered curricula, to cultivate specialized personnel in proptech.” He added, “Through this industry-academia exchange, we will cooperate to further promote the promising proptech industry and produce many customized talents.”
