[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation is recruiting an additional 699 households to move into the Dongtan Lake Park Gyeonggi Happy Housing.
Gyeonggi Happy Housing is a public rental housing supplied at 60-80% of the surrounding market price to ensure housing stability for vulnerable groups such as university students, youth, newlyweds, the elderly, and housing benefit recipients. It is a specialized Happy Housing in Gyeonggi Province supplied by Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation.
The recruitment target is 699 households including youth, newlyweds, and the elderly, with an increased number of units supplied to the youth demographic, which has high demand for rental housing in the area.
In this recruitment, the eligibility criteria have been relaxed, expanding the monthly average income limit from 100% to 120% of the previous year's urban worker household income, and extending the income employment period for social beginners from 5 years to 7 years.
The lease contract period is 2 years, but if certain conditions are met, youth and newlyweds without children can reside for up to 6 years, newlyweds with one or more children and single-parent families for up to 10 years, and the elderly and housing benefit recipients for up to 20 years.
Applications can be submitted from the 16th to the 19th at the Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation Rental Housing Application Center (apply.gico.or.kr).
Contracts will be conducted electronically from the 8th to the 10th of next month, and any unleased units after the contract period will be available for first-come, first-served unit designation contracts starting from the 20th of next month.
