[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Ahn Jung-hwan, a former soccer national team player from 'Together We Play Soccer,' confessed his sincere feelings toward Yoo Sang-chul and shed tears.

On the 7th broadcast of JTBC's 'Together We Play Soccer,' messages of support from colleagues for Yoo Sang-chul, who is currently battling cancer, were revealed.

Yoo Sang-chul announced in November last year that he was fighting terminal pancreatic cancer. Having suspended official activities for treatment, Yoo Sang-chul shared his recent condition on 'Together We Play Soccer' on the 31st of last month, six months later.

On this day, Kim Sung-joo stated after all the matches, "Today's special match was actively arranged because Coach Yoo Sang-chul said, 'I think I would be happy to be on the ground.'

In response, Yoo Sang-chul said, "Being out on the green grass is happier and makes me feel better than being at home or in the hospital. It was enjoyable, and I think my stress was relieved," expressing his feelings about appearing on the show.

Following this, surprise video letters from colleagues were revealed. Starting with Lee Chun-soo, Lee Woon-jae, Kim Yong-dae, Choi Jin-cheol, and Song Jong-guk sent messages to Yoo Sang-chul, who is battling pancreatic cancer, such as "We believe in the indomitable Yoo Sang-chul," "Let's meet again on the field," "Hope you recover quickly," and "Always cheering for you."

In particular, Ahn Jung-hwan, the coach of Eojjeoda FC, said, "We spent many years together on the national team, but we also led the team to victory in Japan and trained together. What I remember most is the time after training when we always ate pasta together and sweated it out. I miss those times," expressing his heartfelt feelings. "We can't go back, but it was such a good time."

He continued, "On the national team, I saw you silently working hard and sacrificing for the team, and I learned a lot from that. I respect you," adding, "If you don't recover quickly and fully, I might hit you again."

He added, "I hope we can go eat pasta together again. I love you, hyung."

Watching the video letters, Ahn Jung-hwan silently shed tears.

After watching the video letters from his colleagues, Yoo Sang-chul said, "I am thankful to my colleagues and juniors. I don't want to show a weak side. As you know, chemotherapy is tough, but many people are supporting me and hoping for my recovery. I also believe there are people who can find hope because of me," and with reddened eyes, he said, "I will definitely overcome this and return to the field by undergoing treatment well and winning this battle."
