The newly confirmed cases are ▲No. 51 (resident of Mok 4-dong, female in her 40s) ▲No. 52 (resident of Sinwol 7-dong, female in her 60s) ▲No. 53 (resident of Mok 3-dong, female in her 20s) ▲No. 54 (resident of Sinjeong 7-dong, female in her 60s) ▲No. 55 (resident of Sinjeong 7-dong, female in her 50s) ▲No. 56 (resident of Mok 2-dong, male in his 20s).
Cases No. 51 and 52 were confirmed to be related to a ping-pong hall located in Yangcheon-gu.
Additionally, case No. 53 had contact history with case No. 46 (related to the ping-pong hall), and case No. 56 had contact history with case No. 44 (related to the ping-pong hall).
Cases No. 54 and 55 were confirmed to be related to Guro Evada Church (a pioneering church) and had been under self-quarantine since the 3rd.
Case No. 51 was tested on the 6th and confirmed positive the same day, while case No. 52 was tested on the 5th and confirmed positive on the 7th. The rest were all tested on the 6th and confirmed positive on the 7th.
Cases No. 52, 54, and 55 were confirmed to have no cohabitants, while case No. 51 has three cohabitants, case No. 53 has two, and case No. 56 has one; these cohabitants are currently undergoing testing.
Their movement routes are currently under investigation, and the district office stated it will promptly disinfect the confirmed patients’ residences and visited locations as much as possible.
The district office plans to disclose accurate and prompt information about the confirmed patients’ movements and other details through the Yangcheon-gu website and SNS (blog, Instagram) as soon as they are confirmed.
With this, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Yangcheon-gu has reached 56.
Kim Su-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “COVID-19 infections can occur unexpectedly anywhere at any time, so in multi-use facilities, people should maintain a certain distance from each other and wear masks properly,” and added, “I hope everyone will strive to strictly follow quarantine rules for the safety of themselves and our community.”
