Gyeonggi Office of Education Operates Teacher Video Sharing Channel 'Gyeonggi Gyosa On TV'

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is operating a video sharing channel for teachers called 'Gyeonggi Teacher On TV.'

The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced on the 7th that it will provide a total of 80 videos, including 50 secondary and 30 primary videos uploaded in the first phase this month, through the primary resource website (http://gg.gg/jer47) and the secondary resource website (https://gg.gg/j7ws1).

Gyeonggi Teacher On TV is a collection of class videos autonomously created by teachers, utilizing their experience in remote and in-person classes due to the COVID-19 situation in elementary, middle, and high schools. The channel consists of ▲ subject-specific materials for teachers ▲ use of remote teaching tools ▲ blended learning theories ▲ learning materials for students.

Hwang Mi-dong, Director of the School Curriculum Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, said, "We hope that operating this video sharing channel will be an opportunity for teachers to share and grow their classes in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era," and emphasized, "We will continue to strive to establish support policies for field teachers that respond quickly and flexibly to the spread of future-oriented learner-centered classes and changes in the educational environment."

The Gyeonggi Office of Education plans to continue sharing class videos by receiving material production and applications from field teachers in the second phase until August following the first phase in June, and the third phase starting in September.
