The 53rd confirmed case in Guro-gu was classified as a contact of a confirmed case in Gangseo-gu. She tested negative on June 2 and was under self-quarantine. On the 5th, she developed symptoms such as cough and sore throat, underwent another specimen test at a screening clinic in Guro-gu, and was confirmed positive on the afternoon of the 6th.
