[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] Jungkook, a member of the group BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan), recently explained and apologized for his visit to Itaewon.

On the afternoon of the 6th, BTS's V Live channel aired Suga's audio broadcast "Soopdi's Honey FM 06.13" live. Jungkook appeared on this broadcast and hosted the live show together with Suga.

During the broadcast, Jungkook talked about his self-composed song "Still With You" and mentioned his recent visit to Itaewon during the COVID-19 social distancing period.

Jungkook said, "It's been a while since I've done a radio show, so I'm very nervous and excited," adding, "I think many people were angry and hurt because of my recent actions. I also feel deeply sorry to those who are struggling through this situation, those who are working hard everywhere, and especially to my hyungs who are always by my side."

He continued, "Especially to the ARMYs whom I love, I feel very heavy-hearted because it seems like I caused you to have a difficult time," bowing deeply to apologize to the fans. He also said, "Lately, I have been thinking very deeply on my own. I have talked a lot with the members and reflected on myself in many ways, and I have learned a lot," and concluded, "I wanted to speak directly to you about this matter through a live broadcast. From now on, wherever and whenever, I will be Jungkook who thinks and acts more deeply every moment."

On April 25th, Jungkook caused controversy by visiting restaurants and pubs in Itaewon with Astro's Cha Eunwoo, NCT's Jaehyun, and Seventeen's Mingyu despite the social distancing period. Big Hit stated that Jungkook was tested at a screening clinic and the result was negative.
