First Railway Operator Achieves 48 Times Zero-Accident Record

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation announced on the 6th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the railway operation public institution category in the 2020 National Disaster Management Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This evaluation was conducted across 28 central administrative agencies, 54 public institutions, and 243 local governments nationwide, covering all aspects of disaster management work including disaster prevention, response and recovery processes, disaster response organization formation and maintenance status, and safety management systems.
The evaluation results were rated in three grades: excellent, average, and poor. Institutions with excellent grades receive incentives such as government awards, ministerial citations, and prize money.

In the evaluation, the corporation was recognized for its overall excellent management status in disaster and safety fields, including ▲achieving 48 times zero-accident record for the first time among railway operating organizations ▲world's first development of a bidirectional electric dust collector for fine dust removal (awarded the Presidential Award at the Korea Safety Technology Awards) ▲certification of the international standard safety and health management system (ISO 45001) ▲establishment of an emergency response mobile manual system ▲and overseas business expansion to Singapore Sentosa Monorail for the first time among railway operating organizations.
