Taking the Lead for the Successful Hosting of the '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] The Wando County Council of Jeollanam-do (Chairman Jo In-ho) announced on the 6th that it signed a business agreement with the Jeollanam-do City and County Chairmen Association on the 5th to successfully host the '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo.'
The signing ceremony took place with the attendance of Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, and the chairmen of 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
Through the business agreement, the Jeollanam-do City and County Chairmen Association will actively promote and support the '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo,' which will be held next year in Wando County, so that not only the residents of Jeollanam-do but all citizens of the Republic of Korea can visit. They will also provide administrative support such as ticket discounts and guidance for visitors upon entry.
The '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo' will be held for 24 days from April 23 to May 16 next year under the theme "Sea of Healing, the Future of Hope Opened by Seaweed."
Chairman Jo In-ho said, "We signed an agreement hoping for the successful hosting of the '2021 Wando International Seaweed Expo,'" and added, "As it is an important international event that will determine the future of Korea's fisheries industry, I ask the chairmen of Jeollanam-do cities and counties for active participation and cooperation so that the marine biology industry can develop to the next level."
