Buan-gun Integrated Control Officers Honored for 'Arresting Theft Suspect'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyung] Buan Police Station (Chief Park Hoon-ki) announced on the 5th that it presented letters of appreciation to integrated control center operators Jo and Im, who played a decisive role in apprehending a thief, at the control room on the 3rd floor of the Buan-gun Integrated Control Center on the 4th.

Operator Jo discovered a thief breaking into a first-floor house in the Jangsuchon building and stealing items while monitoring CCTV at around 12:10 a.m. on April 22, and informed the police officers to enable the arrest.

Also, operator Im found the thief who stole an electric scooter parked at the Baekseok Village bus stop in Jusanmyeon at around 6 p.m. on the same day, and provided crucial clues by notifying the police officers to facilitate the arrest.

The decisive factor in catching the culprit was their calm observation skills and control response ability, as they monitored about 500 CCTVs, communicated in real-time with responding police officers about the suspect’s appearance and movement routes, and so forth.
