Professor Wang Seok-sun of Jeonju University Joins Relay Hope Campaign to Overcome COVID-19

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] Professor Wang Seok-sun of the Department of Home Economics Education at Jeonju University College of Education in Jeonbuk has joined the 'Hope Campaign Relay to Overcome COVID-19' upon the designation of Kim Seung-hwan, Superintendent of Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education.

The 'Hope Campaign to Overcome COVID-19' is a campaign first initiated by Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon to deliver hope to medical staff, quarantine authorities, and the public who are struggling against COVID-19.

Participants write supportive messages and post them on social networking services (SNS), then designate two next participants to continue the campaign.

Professor Wang Seok-sun of the Department of Home Economics Education said, "Based on the dedication of medical staff and quarantine authorities, the participation of all citizens in social distancing in daily life is the most important driving force to overcome COVID-19," adding, "I joined the campaign to encourage students who are continuing their studies despite difficult circumstances."

Meanwhile, Professor Wang has served as dean of the College of Education and director of the Graduate School of Education. She is currently the president of the Jeonju University 'Women Professors Association' and vice president of the Korean Association of Home Economics Education, the Korean Association of Child and Family Welfare, and the Korean Association of Life Sciences.
