[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Daegu City and Iroirum Co., Ltd. announced on the 5th that they will hold an online entrance ceremony for the 'Youth Tomorrow School' on the 9th and begin operating the 6-week program.
'Daegu Youth Tomorrow School' is a program that helps reduce trial and error in career choices by introducing various jobs and duties to college graduates and job seekers. It consists of 36 sessions under 7 themes, and participants who choose and attend at least 5 lectures they wish to take will receive a certificate of completion.
Graduates will receive a social entry activity support fund (Daegu-type youth allowance) of 1.5 million KRW for competency development. The support fund can be freely used as gap year (a period to finalize career paths) activity expenses. The online entrance ceremony on the 9th will be conducted online through the Tomorrow School operation cafe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kim Young-ae, Director of the Citizen Happiness Education Bureau of Daegu City, said, "Many young people are having difficulties finding jobs due to the employment market being further depressed by COVID-19," and added, "We hope that participating youth can choose jobs suited to their aptitudes and prepare for employment."
