[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actors Hwang Jung-min and Lee Jung-jae have hinted that Park Jung-min will play a key role in 'Deliver Us from Evil.'
On the morning of the 5th, the production presentation for the movie 'Deliver Us from Evil' was held via online live broadcast, attended by actors Hwang Jung-min, Lee Jung-jae, and director Hong Won-chan.
'Deliver Us from Evil' is a hard-boiled chase action film depicting the desperate pursuit and battle between In-nam (Hwang Jung-min), who gets entangled in a new incident due to his final contract killing mission, and Ray (Lee Jung-jae), a ruthless pursuer chasing him. Hwang Jung-min, Lee Jung-jae, and Park Jung-min star in the lead roles.
Hwang Jung-min transforms into In-nam, an assassin who fights desperately due to the last mission that shook his life, while Lee Jung-jae takes on the role of Ray, the merciless pursuer, engaging in a tense showdown with Hwang Jung-min’s character. Director Hong Won-chan, who directed 'Office' (2015), is at the helm.
On this day, Hwang Jung-min and Lee Jung-jae pointed to Park Jung-min as a highlight of the film. Hwang Jung-min said, "Viewers might wonder, 'Why isn’t Park Jung-min appearing here?' That is the point to watch for," sparking curiosity.
Lee Jung-jae added, "It’s safe to say that Park Jung-min’s radical transformation is a key point. When I asked why he’s not appearing today, I was told he would appear later as a surprise gift," he said.
Regarding the work, director Hong Won-chan said, "It is not based on true stories or historical events. We tried to maximize the cinematic and genre characteristics." He added, "If you enjoy it on the big screen, you will be able to appreciate the genre’s entertainment."
'Deliver Us from Evil' is set to be released in July.
