[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul increased by 13 in one day due to cluster infections at the metropolitan pioneering church meeting and the Gwanak-gu health product promotion event.
As of 10 a.m. on the 5th, Seoul City announced that the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul was 929. This is an increase of 13 compared to the same time the previous day, and 20 compared to 0 a.m. on the 4th.
Among the new confirmed cases, 7 were identified as related to the health product sales company 'Richway.' Accordingly, the total number of confirmed cases who attended sales training or seminars conducted by Richway has increased to 15.
Additionally, the number of confirmed cases related to the metropolitan pioneering church increased by 2 compared to the previous day, and there was 1 case of contact with confirmed patients from other cities or provinces. The infection routes of the remaining 3 cases are under investigation.
So far, among the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul, 645 have recovered and been discharged, and 280 are currently receiving isolation treatment.
