[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 5th that it has recommended refraining from operating high-risk facilities and provided guidance on compliance measures as COVID-19 confirmed cases continue to occur.
This is in accordance with the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act and targets high-risk facilities selected through a comprehensive evaluation based on six indicators (degree of enclosure, density, activity level, clustering, duration, and management) set by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.
The high-risk facilities in the region include a total of 1,376 places such as entertainment bars, colateks, hunting pochas, danran bars, karaoke rooms, and indoor group exercise facilities (intense GX types such as Zumba, Tae Bo, spinning, etc.).
The recommendation to refrain from operation started from 6 p.m. on the 2nd and will be maintained until further notice. The obligation to comply with quarantine rules extends not only to business owners and workers but also to facility users, requiring strict adherence to all related parties.
The common core quarantine rules for each facility include maintaining and managing handwritten visitor logs, checking symptoms of visitors and workers, mask-wearing by business owners and workers, and appointing quarantine managers.
Users are also required to authenticate electronic entry logs or accurately fill out handwritten logs when entering these high-risk facilities, cooperate with symptom checks, prohibit entry of symptomatic individuals, and wear masks.
The city sent text messages notifying all entertainment facilities of the assembly ban order last month and is conducting on-site inspections. Additionally, the administrative order banning gatherings at multi-use facilities such as entertainment bars, which had been in effect since the 10th of last month, has been extended until the 7th.
A Bucheon City official advised, "Both business operators and users may be fined for violating quarantine rules, so business operators are urged to actively post user guidelines to ensure that users comply with the quarantine rules."
