Meeting with Veterans Organization Members Invited on the 4th

'From Imcheonggak to Harbin' ... Im Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education's 'Video Journey'


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education, announced on the 4th that he invited 10 members of veterans' organizations, including Lee In-woo, head of the Gyeongbuk branch of the Republic of Korea Sangigun-gyeonghoe, to the education office for a meeting.


Superintendent Lim expressed his condolences to the patriotic martyrs who sacrificed their lives to overcome the nation's crisis and to the patriotic organizations, and had a time of mutual communication regarding the veterans' policies and Gyeongbuk education policies. Afterwards, they watched a video titled "From Imcheonggak to Harbin" by the Student Pilgrimage Group on the Independence Movement Road from last July.


Imcheonggak, named after a phrase from "Returning Home," a poem by the 4th-century Chinese pastoral poet Tao Yuanming, is a mid-Joseon period detached pavilion located in Beophung-dong, Andong City, Gyeongbuk, designated as Treasure No. 182.


Superintendent Lim Jong-sik stated, "When the nation and people face crises, we will do our best to nurture children with a strong sense of national identity and proper civic consciousness through patriotic and veterans' education that can overcome such challenges."
