[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Comedian Lee Se-young clarified rumors about plastic surgery.
On the 3rd, Lee Se-young uploaded a video titled "Did I get my jaw shaved? Clarifying the plastic surgery rumors" on her YouTube channel 'Youngpyeong TV'.
In the video released that day, Lee Se-young said, "There are many things I want to say about the plastic surgery rumors circulating around. I have never had plastic surgery, but I did receive treatments. The reason my face looks different is because my makeup method has changed." She added, "I am quite good at makeup. I tend to think of makeup as drawing a picture on my face. So I think that's why my face looks different."
She continued, "Four years ago, I lost weight down to 36 kg. At that time, it wasn't healthy weight loss but because I wasn't eating. It was so hard that the fat on my face disappeared unbelievably. So the first treatment I received was filler." She explained, "That was the first time I got a treatment, and my very gaunt face recovered."
She also said, "I have a very prominent jaw. Although I haven't had surgery, I get Botox injections once every six months." She added, "They say that if you receive it consistently, the jaw becomes smaller. So I think that's why my face looks slimmer."
Finally, she said, "Honestly, I feel good. If I didn't have plastic surgery but people say I did, I am thankful." She added, "But if there is an itch, you have to scratch it, right? That's why I am addressing this through the video."
