According to the Office of Education, a college entrance briefing session for second-year high school students preparing for college admissions will be held at JJ Art Hall, Jeonju University, on the 6th.
It is planned as a session to review changes in college admissions and the CSAT for current second-year students, parents, and teachers, and to provide guidance on career exploration methods.
Also, on the 13th, a CSAT study strategy briefing session linked with EBS will be held. The study strategy briefing session, held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jeonbuk Education and Culture Center, will provide admission information for the 2021 college entrance examination and explain subject-specific study methods.
In particular, detailed guidance will be provided on the direction and content of school activities after in-person classes, efficient college entrance preparation methods after COVID-19, and characteristics of early and regular admission applications, which students and parents are curious about.
From 9 a.m. on the 14th, a briefing session on military academies and universities in the Jeonbuk area will continue at the Jeonbuk Education and Culture Center. There will be lectures on the analysis of the 2020 academic year admission results and the 2021 college entrance examination and application strategies.
Finally, on the 20th from 2 p.m., a Korea University and Yonsei University entrance briefing session will be held at the Jeonbuk Education and Culture Center.
The Office of Education also operates meetings between admissions officers from major universities in the Seoul area and teachers in charge of college admissions in the province. These will be held in the order of Seoul National University on the 16th, Korea University on the 19th, and Yonsei University on the 20th, providing an opportunity to hear directly from admissions officers about each university's admission process and special notes.
An official from the Office of Education stated, "In a situation where there is concern about a gap in admission information due to 'COVID-19,' this briefing session will provide accurate admission information and guidance on career exploration methods to high school students."
Meanwhile, the Office of Education plans to thoroughly implement quarantine measures such as disinfection and seat distancing, as this college entrance briefing session will be held under social distancing requirements due to COVID-19.
