Gokseong-gun to Conduct Business Survey Until the 29th

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 4th that it will conduct the '2020 Business Survey' targeting 2,456 local businesses from the 4th to the 29th.

The business survey is conducted to understand the distribution and employment structure of businesses and to use the data as basic materials for policy development and evaluation. It is led by Statistics Korea and conducted annually by local governments.

This survey targets businesses registered as of the end of 2019 and investigates 11 items including business type, number of employees, and annual sales. The survey results are scheduled to be announced by Statistics Korea in March next year.

The survey method is primarily on-site interviews conducted by surveyors, with telephone surveys conducted concurrently for vulnerable facilities such as group facilities and multi-use facilities. During on-site surveys, surveyors must wear surveyor identification badges and strictly adhere to quarantine rules such as wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Seven surveyors are active in the county. The surveyors completed training on field survey methods, including how to input survey forms and survey guidelines, in two sessions held in February and May.

A county official said, "The response content will not be used for taxation or other purposes, and confidentiality is strictly guaranteed according to the Statistics Act, so we ask for the active participation of businesses to ensure accurate surveys."
