[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] LH Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters announced on the 4th that it held the '2020 Gyeongnam Housing Welfare Forum,' the first of its kind for the regional headquarters.
The 'Gyeongnam Housing Welfare Forum' is a think tank composed of a total of 11 experts to discuss various housing issues in Gyeongnam.
The first housing welfare forum was held as a Kick-Off meeting for the launch of the forum to explain LH's housing welfare projects and major business models and to discuss future Gyeongnam-type housing welfare projects.
At the forum, Ha Seung-ho, head of LH Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, Kang Oh-soon, director of LH Gyeongnam Housing Welfare Business Office, Professor Jeong Gyu-sik of Gyeongnam National University, Yoon Nan-sil, head of Gyeongsangnam-do Social Innovation Promotion Team, and Kim Hyun-joo, director of Gyeongnam Catholic Women's Hall, attended and participated in presentations and discussions over two sessions.
The first session featured presentations by LH staff introducing LH's housing welfare work, LH rural-type housing pilot projects, community facility attraction, and ordinances supporting apartment complexes. The second session involved proposals from forum members for establishing a Gyeongnam-type housing welfare model and lively discussions.
Ha Seung-ho, head of LH Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, requested, "LH plans to move away from the existing supplier-oriented unilateral housing welfare policy to implement a comprehensive housing welfare policy centered on the needs of users covering all aspects of life, and I ask for the members' keen interest and advice."
Professor Jeong Gyu-sik of Gyeongnam National University emphasized, "I feel the changed status of LH as it takes the lead in solving regional housing problems," and added, "As forum members representing various sectors, we will do our best to solve housing issues in Gyeongnam."
