Change in Hongje 3 Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Plan... Daycare Center Moved from 2nd to 3rd Floor

[Asia Economy Reporter Im Onyu] On the 3rd, Seoul held an Urban Planning Committee meeting and announced on the 4th that the Hongje 3 Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Area and Maintenance Plan Amendment and Landscape Review were approved with modifications.

The Hongje 3 Housing Redevelopment Area around 270 Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu, has been designated as a maintenance area since 2009. Following a request from Hongje Church, a change in the maintenance plan (from church-owned childcare facility site to religious facility site) was pursued.

The site began construction in April 2018, and the association and Hongje Church reached a smooth agreement. The daycare center within the project site was conditionally approved reflecting the opinions of related departments (existing 603.78㎡, 2 floors → changed to 750㎡ or more, 3 floors), and the floor area ratio of Plot 1 was modified and approved to be changed to 250% or less according to the upper floor area ratio of the Category 2 General Residential Area.

A Seoul city official stated, "We expect the Hongje 3 District redevelopment project to proceed smoothly in the future."
