[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DGB Daegu Bank announced on the 3rd that it will sell the Daegu local gift certificate 'Daegu Happiness Pay.'
Daegu Happiness Pay is a local gift certificate issued by Daegu City to revitalize the local economy through consumption promotion.
Anyone aged 14 or older can purchase it, regardless of whether they are Daegu citizens, and it can be used at BC Card affiliated stores located in Daegu city. However, large franchises and businesses or establishments unsuitable for use are excluded.
Daegu Happiness Pay is a rechargeable prepaid card format that can be charged up to 500,000 KRW per month, and it always offers a 7% discount benefit on the charged amount. Additionally, as a launch event, an extra 3% benefit will be added, providing a 10% discount benefit temporarily from the launch date.
Daegu Bank participated in the public bidding for the operation agency of the Daegu Love Gift Certificate in February and was selected as the final agency.
A notable feature of Daegu Happiness Pay is that it can be used not only offline but also online. The service is provided through the ‘IM Shop’ application, the first local gift certificate mobile platform in the banking sector. It is available for sale, inquiry, and refund at over 160 branches, and related consultations are also conducted at Daegu Bank’s customer center.
